STAB23 midterm instructions
You can use any class resources, including asking us for help. Do NOT use chatgpt or other so-called “AI” tools.
The deadline is June 22.
Your goal is to try to make sure you understand the material necessary to complete the midterm
– this is the main thing you will be asked to evaluate yourself on at the end. There are three parts to turn in:
1. a completed midterm questions file (as a pdf, txt, docx, or doc file)
2. a completed midterm analysis file (just the .R file)
3. the midterm report, after you’ve finished the first two parts
All three parts will be posted under Modules > Midterm on June 10.
In the midterm report, you will think about your learning in the first half of the course, and you will reflect on how the midterm went for you. You will be asked to evaluate your effort and engagement with the midterm. In particular, you will evaluate how much you tried to make sure you understand the material necessary to complete the midterm.
If you’re getting errors in R and want help troubleshooting, please email our TA Mousa ([email protected]). If you feel stuck on the content and want help with that, please email me ([email protected]). We will also be holding drop-in sessions during reading week – there will be an announcement on Quercus with details.
You will not lose marks for mistakes, so try to feel comfortable just testing out what you’ve learned. If possible, have fun!
